Jesus Never Existed

something I will never understand either. but we are here, we got to live up to it, there is life and death, nasty things can happen to people. there has to be an explanation for it all otherwise we might as well just live for pleasure then die. the happiest i have ever been is when I have felt God's love for me. it could be mind trick I do to myself, (if so it's a fantastic one), but I put all my hope in him. Imagine if you were a god, you'd get lonely up there, you'd need to create children to love you back. we just don't know why.. you are right, it's crazy. the universe may be big, but in other dimensions, physical matter is of no consequence at all, only love will remain. this whole thing is something we will never know the answer to...

Why do people persist in the notion that a supposed all powerful deity, who allegedly created this vast universe and everything in it, would find a need to be vindicated / validated, only by the worship and subservience of the puny beings on one insignificant little spck of dust, i, back water a minor solar system? I'll just never get it...

I have read your site on and off for a year now, at first it hit my faith like a brick wall, but after questioning my faith I firmly decided I couldn't live without believing in Jesus, and if it's not Jesus, then a God of love who doesn't mind being called Jesus or some other name. Nothing would exist if it wasn't for love, things were created purely because there is love, otherwise there's no point. It's not a freak chance we're here. don't try and kid yourself and say no-one knows why we are here, kit's chance. No! we are too special to not have been told why we are here! something can't come out of nothing, something had to have created us. and I believe - with the depth of feeling and emotions that we have been created with - it had to be a PERSON (like us) that must have created us. a god (or gods) that need reciprocal, un-robot-like, love. love maks the world go round. Having said that, I agree Luke and Matthew got it wrong about Nazareth being a city or town, prob. never existed, but maybe Jesus was a Nazarene (ie. northern essene sect near Mount Carmel) and in that way they made up an imaginary town called Nazareth a century later. also maybe historians in the day didn't mention him because he was too minor a person, the miracles may have reached the ears of nobles, but I'm sure were dismissed and forgotten like old wives tales. the crucifixion was prob just an average daily execution, no wonder they don't bother mentioning him.. if you look to the bible for truth you will find ut, if you look to the bible for discrepancies you will find them.

I have to tell you. I read your articles and I have to say, that as a Catholic person, they helped to strengthen my belief in God and my love for my faith and Christianity as a whole.
Many thanks! Keep up the good work! You will have many, many converts!
Yes, God surely does move in mysterious ways his wonders to perform!

If I do end up in "a lake of fire", at least I'll have the consolation of seeing the devil shove a pitchfork up the rectums of some previous "good Christians". Like the couple I posted about previously, who were jailed for beating their foster children with a Bible. I must say, that would make it all worthwhile. :)

EDITED FOR EXCESSIVE LENGTH-KH.
To the atheists who deny the existence of a loving God, I was in Stuttgart. I met with a nephew of an evangelical minister. Realizing that I am a Baptist preacher, he asked if I can preach in their church. It was not a Sunday, majority were not regular church members, at least 170, comprising friends or friends of friends, perhaps relatives. He forewarned me that they are hard core atheist. I rejoiced on hearing that. After all that is the crowd that I love talking to! I presented the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and for the next 30 minutes, their stern faces and hostile eyes were hardly changed. Into the 45th minutes, somehow I felt that I was not going anywhere so I gave them my last shot. I said to them..."Ladies and gentlemen ... Assuming also that the day of reckoning came and we all died and in the after life, we all found out that you guys are right, that there is No God, no Jesus Christ the savior, no heaven and no hell. So I will tell you then...my friends, you are right. Having said that, do you have any advantage for being right? Yes, you were right but there is nothing to gain because there is nothing.
What if I am right? You lose, because you will be thrown in the lake of fire which the Bible describes and you will be there for all eternity for your unbelief. How about me? I will be in a place of comfort for all eternity. There were 56 people who professed and came to know the Lord Jesus Christ that day! I know the difference between believing in a God that can love and forgive. I know a life that is Christless...it is always on the edge, unsure of what tomorrow brings, a life without meaning and purpose. I used to believe Charles Darwin's position. I now refuse to accept the theory of evolution because I cannot simply admit that I am from a race of monkey. In Christ Love
