Check the bibliographies on the JNE pages for sources. There are many good reads listed there. But ask yourself : • Why does Matthew plagiarize “The Egyptian Book of the Dead” as source material for chapter 25? • Why if Jesus as depicted in the gospels taught in Galilean synagogues are there no pre-second temple era synagogues in Galilee dating to the 30’s? • Why is the epistle of James silent on any of the details of the life of Jesus? Would not the brother of Jesus, in order to increase his status as a sectarian cult leader, be concerned with communicating his intimate knowledge of the Savior? • Why is the Gospel of Mark structured like the Iliad and Odyssey if it is the Word of a God? Could not a God come up with something better than the style of Homer? • If Jesus was God, why did he endorse slavery when slavery is absolutely wrong in all cases? If Jesus was God then should not he have been perfectly moral? These are but a few of the questions one can ask. There are many thousands of other questions. There was and is no need for a human sacrifice to make any of us ok with God. People of faith should try to think and reason as to why their faith may not be all they have been told. Ask questions. Do not accept a bag of goods just because someone says you should. For instance, why would the holy bible have more than 3000 contradictions if it were actually the word of god? Why is it that if its supernatural, there are no scientificly verrifible events that cannot be explained in terms of the know laws of physics? Why is not this god fellow actually communicating the same message to all people on the planet? Why are there more than 30,000 christian cults or sects if the holy ghost is leading and guiding believers? JNE does not have all the answers, but it sure has much truth. Further to my previous remarks it should be pointed out that the silence of Paul on any aspect of a recent historical Jesus to be found throughout the entire pauline corpus strongly indicates Paul had no knowledge of an actual Jesus.
