Ken-I received the book ok many thanks.I see that Tony Blair in a reticent interview has invoked his God, it would be interesting to see what a polygraph would make of his beliefs.

Hmmm gee thanks for the confussion.
IF you reject the idea that Jesus exsists than what's the point? IF Jesus doesn't exsist than you don't have to worry. However if this is just another foolish humanist / atheist tool than I hope your right. By the way if Jesus doesn't exist as you proclaim. Than can you or others explain why Israel exsists either because that is where he came from.
Another thing WHO REALLY wrote the histories you quote from? WERE they the ancients or just modern atheists?

Peace and love huh? Yeah, buddy, I felt warm and fuzzy all over last week, when I tuned in to the international news, and saw the religion nuts fighting each other in Ireland. Protestants and Catholics, "good Christians" all, going at each other hell bound for leather. Idiots. Just as bad as the Sunni / Shiite infighting between Muslims in Iraq. Feel the peace and love, baby. Then go get yourself a psychiatric evaluation. The sooner mankind evolves beyond the primitive and idiotic god worshpping phase, the better off this planet, and the entire human rac, will be. One can only hope.

Welcome to someone fromsouth Africa. The relic still exists. The blood and Sudarium (John 20:7) of Jesus exist. Can someone else comment on this? It came from Jerusalem to Spain.

Jesus did exist, in fact there were many of them Joshuas around (there's lots of them now)but, perhaps, not the one portrayed in the Gospels. But one Jesus that did exist lived in the times of Alexander Jannaeus, who is believed to have slaughtered 800 Pharisees along with other religious leaders in Palestine, (the killing of the innocents in the Matthew story, perhaps?) and was known by the Hebrew name Yeschu, an Essene, described as the Teacher of Righteousness. The life story of this Yeschu parallels the story as found in the Gospels. He also fled to Egypt to escape the persecution of Jannaeus and after returning to Palestine he was betrayed by one of his own, arrested and tried by Helene/Salome/Alexandra, crowned with thorns and then stoned to death as per the commandements of Moses. His body was then hung on a tree as per the law of the Torah (Lev.24:16 and Deut. 21:22,23). His followers also claimed that he had risen from the dead. This took place about 110 years before the Jesus of the Gospel made his appearance.
There was much confusion in the first centuries of the Christian era regarding the Jesus of the Gospels and this Teacher of Righteousness. Epiphanius, bishop of Salamis, in his Panarion states that "Christ was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Alexander".
Interesting enough, the Book of Acts seems to be referring to this Yeschu demise when, in Acts 5:30 and 10:39, Peter is made to say "...whom they slew AND hanged on a tree." Still, "all is vanity"

Why do billions of non-Christians find joy and love in their own religions?
1) Christians feel peace, love and joy when thinking of Jebus.
2) Buddhists (Hindus, Muslims, Shintoists, etc.) feel peace, love and joy too.
3) Ergo, all Buddhists (Hindus, Muslims, Shintoists, etc.) are Christians.
You Christards are so self-centered. No one else with a true religion exists but you. Everyone else is wrong. You believe that only you can feel all gooey inside when you worship Jebus.
You are wrong. Jebus was a fairytale and all of the good feelings that your idiotic, parasitic religion create within you stem from your own wisful thinking.

Ok, Mr Know-it-all, could you please deign to descend from your high-and-mighty cloud of superior, adult, freethinking, atheistic perfection to answer this question that a humble thirteen year old girl dares to pose to you? If Jesus never existed, how come thousands of people all over the world have experienced peace, joy and healing after praying to this so-called myth? Don't start to lecture on mass hallucination or coincidence or anything like that. Instead, save your breath, not to cool you porridge, but to blow out the flames which will surround you once you find that political correctness, popularity, or anything of the kind, aren't going to help when you come face to face with the Almighty One, from whom no one can hide the insults you've been propagating about Him.

Stephen Hawking has also said, "Even if there is only one possible unified theory, it is just a set of rules and equations. What is it that breathes fire into the equations and makes a universe for them to describe? The usual approach of science of constructing a mathematical model cannot answer the questions of why there should be a universe for the model to describe. Why does the universe go to all the bother of existing? Is the unified theory so compelling that it brings about its own existance? Or does it need a creator and, if so, does he have any other effect on the universe? And who created him?" (A Brief History of Time, 2nd edition, pp.232-3).
